­                          Department of Applied Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics has 36 ­academic staff and accepts students in pure and applied mathematics at BSc, MSc and PhD levels.

Applied Mathematics Students take 136 course units during a four year program and upon completion receive the BSc degree in applied mathematics. Students of applied mathematics learn how to analyze real life systems in order to improve or optimize their performances using mathematical techniques and algorithms. The courses offered during the BSc program prepare students to pursue their studies in MSc and PhD programs.
